1969 Mustang Mach 1 Help
So, I just had my 1969 Mach 1 dropped off yesterday. Looked around the car a found a few little things here and there, but nothing serious so far.
One problem that I found out right away was the driver side door seems to get stuck sometimes. Let me explain
While messing with everything to check for things, I locked the door and closed it. When I came back to the door, I had forgot I locked it and tried to open it. When the door didn't open, I tried to unlock the door with the key. When doing so, I notice the door lock piece didn't come up as high as it was before I locked it. I then tried to open the door, which it didn't. After trying multiple times, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't going to open, and that something must have happened. So, even though it was a pain, I removed the panel from inside the car. I then lifted something inside the door (I couldn't begin to really tell you what it was) and it popped open.
From what I can tell after messing with it some more, is that it works fine normally. I can close the door after it's locked, unlock it with the key, and open it just fine. Something seems to happen only when I try to open it when it's locked.
Any help on how I could fix this, or if this is common, would be a great help.
Also, I have a VIN that I'd be grateful for if anyone could give me some information on it. The VIN is: 9T02M181939
Thanks again.

Another thing that could do it is if your linkage to door latch mechanism is a little tight to the connecting rods. Had thsi problem when pulling out all linkage to hang new doors. Pop off door panel and look at linkage rods going to it. Your can unclip them from holders and and loosen them up a couple turns and try again. Experiment with panel off and pushing in latch to simulate shutting door. While you are at clean up assembly and relube.
