Default Replacing trunk drop offs '65

I will be replacing my trunk drop offs and rear trunk brace while my tail light panel is out.
Is there some wiggle room as far as placement for the lower quarters where the trunk drop offs need to be trimmed?
What I'm getting at is that my lower quarters are shot and there is no way to tell if they are where they need to be so the new ones will fit right at the bottom. If there is extra material on the trunk drop off bottoms that needs to be trimmed once the new quarters are on then I should be OK? right?

There is extra material, and you'll see once you get the new outer panels on. It's not a lot, but trim after the lower quarters are in place.

Cool, thanks!
So when I get to put them in as long as I get them where I "think" they should be it is not like the bottom I will be too high and too far forward then? Basically it is common sense? I can't see where there would be anything to measure before I take them out.
Thanks again,
Lynn

One way is to do it is after you cut the old trunk drops off the car lay them over the new ones and trim the bottom to match the old ones. That is if the old ones are not so rotted out that you can do it like that. Then you install the new drops and then the quarter patches.
