Is this a 2100 2 barrel carb on my 289???

Not good. The 289/302 uses a 1.14, so your 1.08 is a 287 cfm, while while the 1.14 you should have is a 300 cfm. Not much difference, but enough.

i think being a motorcraft 2150 is good enough reason to replace. I had one, but that seized from being stored wrong ... don't even know where that thing is now ... pity :-(

Well according to the tag it's a Motorcraft 2100, at least that's the rebuild kit it uses. I rebuilt it today and it runs like a top. Now on to the brakes and replacing the MC.
