Default Power Steering Question

What would be some causes for the power steering in my 68 to quit working without any warning? The pump never made any sounds of any kind. Fluid level is fine. No leaks. Worked fine last weekend. Started it today and had no power steering. Odd. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Pressure relief valve inside the pump may have failed, relieving ALL the pressure.

Yes a piece of trash in the rear valve of Pump, a piece of trash has got in the bypass valve in control, a inner seal failure in the cylinder.

OR, rarely, the inner lining of the pressure hose has collapsed--But that causes heat, and a noise in Pump from trying to exert pressure.
