Default AutoLite 2100 2V Carb - decoding the numbers

Hi,

In my 65 vert project I was told that mostly all parts are original. The carburator is Autolite 2100 2V with numbers C6PF-F and I don't know why there is number '6' for 1966 as the car was produced in May 1965.

Any idea?

Sure- It's not original to the car. The "P" means it's a Service Replacement.

OK! Thanks, I know the "P" means Autolite/Motorcraft but didn't know those where the carbs for replacement. So originally in my 65 vert there was C5ZF-B and year later from factory there should be C6ZF-B right ?

Yeah, it would almost certainly have had a C5ZF-B. The one you have is darn close, though.
