Rare '69 "L Code" car on ebay
Apparently the seller does not know what he has.
While not a performance car, this L Code car only had 49 other cars to share this code with.
Never thought I'd be looking at a '69 Sportroof car thinking about trying to find a 6 cylinder engine for it.... Much less the original 6 cylinder engine.
If this thing still has the original 2:33 rear gears that 351 could get 22 mpg hwy.

Not quite accurate, anyway. The L code 250 cid engine was a regular production option, but when teamed with the 2.33:1 axle in a sportsroof, it was the "Mustang E", meant to produce fuel economy. It's said Ford only made 50 "E" models. On the other hand, the L engine was used in other cars. I once saw a Grandé with a 250. Weird.

That's correct, the E code (L engine) was the 6 cyl with only 50 made.
I guess you could say it's a rare care, just not very desirable, especially now that the original engine has been misplaced... If it were still original I'm sure someone might take more interest in it.
To me, i don't really care for originality seeing as I'm taking the I6 out of my coupe. Of course, I would probably change my mind if there were only 50 of my kind of car made...
Edit: Damn, yet again 2+2GT beat me to it. Shouldn't have sat here with this tab open for 30 minutes while he answered the question, next time I'll refresh it and save myself some time, haha!

If it is not a performance option rare car nobody really wants it or cares. So they made less of these than they did 68.5 cobra jet fastback mustangs does it make it more valuable? No because no body really cares. A low miles origianal survivor might generate some interest but not that car.
