Default undercoating quarterpanels

does anyone undercoat quarterpanels? i mean all the way up.

Sure you can. Several car builders spray the entire interior structure with Lizard Skin or similar products to assist with heat and sound deadening. It's not going to hurt.

Coated the entire inside with POR15, put it on so it would run out all the seams. Places that need sound deadening got Lizard skin, the rest got body wax.

I just use epoxy primer and weld through primer.
Epoxy I put inside front fenders has held up for about 15 years so far.
I occasionally drive in the rain but never in the snow or wet salted roads.

I try to run seam sealer in way that does not trap water and debris.

+1 on the seam sealer. I also used an epoxy seam sealer.

are you looking for rust protection or sound deadening?

I don't like any of the under coating etc. I feel that it has the potential to hold in moisture if there is a chip or nick in it or if some of it comes off.

I would rather use something like POR 15 or something from Eastwood and then paint it.

sound deadening buckeye. you've all been very helpful on this one. also gave me the answer i wanted to hear.
