Being that my fog lights on my 1966 style bulbs and my headlights are Xenon bulbs my fog lights look like kitchen matches beside the new headlights. My question is this: does anyone make upgraded fog light bulbs that still fit in the original housings without any major modifications?

 

I've never seen any. I've used the 66 fogs on mine a lot, when the car was a daily driver, along with halogen headlights. Properly aimed, they provide a nice flat beam to the ground near the front of the car. I'm not sure it would be good to have brighter ones. Might just provide a better view of the fog, from reflected light.

 

In dense fog, you're better off with your lights off, just using the driving (amber) lights. Bright light in fog is like having a white sheet hanging in front of you.

 

I run headlight relays and Sylvania Xtravisions with stock replacement fog lights and think it works great.

I did see in Mustangs Plus or some shop like that, they had tri bar capsule bulb fog light kits. This would only look good if you have tri bar headlights though.
