Duh...good tip. I have a 351 double sump oil pan, so 5qts..but also need to add one more quart for the filter right?

It seems as if some (all) of the aftermarket timing covers have the dipstick hole too small for most aftermarket dipsticks, the last couple I had were anyway.

Of course this is something one usually doesn't think about till the last moment....

On Jim's I just bit my lip and drilled the dipstick boss on the fully assembled engine bigger, this was after destroying the stock tube and starting to destroy a replacement. No way it was going in.
