Default 302 will not fit

Ok, so I am trying to drop a 302 into my 65 mustang. Prevously it had a straight 6, but it was from a truck. It originally had a 289, before I got it. I bolted the tranny up, which fit just fine. When I dropped it in the bottom of the oil pan hits the front cross member. I have a front sump oil pan on it. I also put new pedestals and motor mounts. The 302 is a 68'. I looked online to order a new oil pan, but the one's I have found have the same dimensions as the one I have. Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should do from here?

Something is screwed up with your motor mounts, because the 289 and 302 use the same mounts. Perhaps the crosstube is screwed up, from someone using it as a jack point.

I had to put new pedestals and motor mounts, because they had mounts for a 6 cylinder. I will check the cross tube. It didn't look like it was bent. I need the motor to drop about 5 inches for the motor mounts to reach the pedestals.

5"? Something is very wrong here. How about a photo?

Ok, so my estimation was off. It needs to drop 2" to be exact. Here are some photos

Doesn't a truck 302 version have a different oil pan?

I thought a truck had a different oil pan. I went online and looked both up and they are the exact same.
