Change the oil pan for one for a mustang.

Maybe it's just the photo angle, but the sump on that pan appears to go more toward the rear than a typical Mustang oil pan. If your pan is the right one, then your transmission is attached too far to the rear.

Thanks, Does anyone know the length of the sump on a standard Mustang oil pan? My oil pan measures about 21" over all length. The sump measures 12" long.

Just to throw an idea out there is it possible that the transmission crossmember is installed backwards. (left side to right side) pulling the engine to far back.
