Ordred me a new backup light kit, the left side didnt work and the right was lookin bad, had to hack one screw off on each side, they really put these bolts in horrible locations, and both bulbs were rusted into place though the right one worked. also took out the taillights so i could paint easier and save a crapload of taping.

bought the paint and supplies yesterday, i believe it was called single stage MKT, Lime Gold. everything i bought including mask, tape, gun, catalyst, reducer, sand paper, and paint still cost less then a 400$ maaco paint job

the trim around the taillights is only half chromed, most of it peeled off. Im wondering how flat black trim around the taillights would look?

got the front bumper off, took about 2 hours talk about horrible bolt positioning.

now i have had the inner and outer front bumper bracket sitting in my backseat for months now. Whats the best way to get the brackets off? there extremely rusted out and i have had no luck using a longer wrench. Now if i do get them off where are the nuts that go on the end? or do they use those clip things?

How'd it take you two hours?!
Did you remove the bumper from the frame? Where the brackets connect it's only 4 bolts.

To remove the brackets you'll need an impact wrench or a TON of elbow grease. An impact wrench at about 90psi from a compressor will pop them off.

taped up the whole car and removed hood and trunk lid, tried removing the front valance but the bolts were rusted on beyond belief. so as an obvious next step i busted out the recpricating saw, after 3 worn down blades i ditched that and upgraded the firepower to a angle grinder and went to town on it. i had to cut off the brackets that allows you to screw the ends of the valance to the body, ill weld some new ones on later :P

pics of tail light trim soon.
