Which Spark Plugs to use?

ok
i just run stock cross referenced plugs on stock cars.
if i have a problem w/ detonation i look for cold plugs and 93 octane.
if i have problem w/ fouling i tune carb lean and verify plug is hot.
haven't had plug issues for years.
