Default hood springs

I bought a elanor style fiberglass hood and the stock springs i have on the car seem like they are way to much spring for this hood. Can i use the stock springs or do i have to go to a smaller set? anyone have a fiberglass hood that can tell me what route they went

Yeah, you need the 65-70 Shelby hood springs. The stock ones are way too stiff for a 'glass hood.

P dont use springs. Just a hood prop. I have the lightweight springs but they were still too stiff for my hood. If you wnat i could give you a good price.

+1 boogerschnot is right. No springs. I don't use any springs on my car. I don't use a prop rod either. I have the light weight springs that I put in when I go to car shows just to keep the hood open and then I take them out. Springs will bow the hood.
