Everybody says look at the dodgestang chart, but the info is not complete and no pictures to reference. It is not as good as everybody says.
You get what you pay for
A 17x8 wheel with a 4.75 backspacing is a proven combination on a close to stock car. Coupled with a 225 it is even more easy to put on considering everyone always wants a wide tire. If you don't think the rim 'looks' like it will fit then no amount of reviewing charts that were compiled based on what is physically working for other people on their own cars will convince you. You will need to buck up and get the measuring tape out.
Maybe you don't have a stock width rear in your car? Was it a t code? Was it a c code and has a 9 inch it now?
Maybe you don't have the stock rear quarters on the car and one or both were replaced at some point. Have you tried the wheel on both sides?
Maybe it was in a horrible accident 20 yrs ago and subframes are all in the wrong spot.

Ok. I went with 17x7 and 4.5 BS on all 4. Tires are 225/45 back and 215/45 front. They fit perfect with clearance and are 1/2 inch from fender lip. No need to roll fenders.
