1965 I6 Taillamp bulb socket...
My electricals were a mess, and I thought I was going to need a new light switch or there was some major problems with the wiring. A classic car place wanted $400.00 just to diagnose and hopefully repair.
Everytime I hit the brake pedal, the instrument light would go on. The brake lights would only work when the headlights were off. And the blinkers would only work when the headlights were off as well.
Well the light bulb in the right taillamp kept burning out, so when I was replacing it today I saw it wasn't making a good connection. I looking inside the bulb socket and it looked kinda mangled. I tried to straighten it out and it is working now, but the socket needs to be replaced.
Where can I buy a light socket for the taillamp, or do I need to replace the entire taillamp housing?
