67 Cougar. That's not a Mustang console.

Cougar and Mustang consoles are interchangeble. The platic part is the same but there are slight differences is the upper metal pieces. The short answer is yes, the 4 speed shifter plate will work on a console that currently has the automatic shifter plate installed.
