Question Ignition Switch / bezel?

Hi, I have read about how to take out the ignition switch but wondering how does the bezel come out?

You have to push the bezel towards the dash while you push the switch towards the bezel and rotate it to your left. The switch has pins like a lightbulb. Once the switch is removed the bezel practically falls out.

I'm pretty sure you rotate it ccw if looking from the driver's seat. It only goes one way, you'll feel it. Just make sure you compress the spring.

Make sure you're trying to rotate the switch, not the bezel.

True, true. The bezel has a flat spot to keep it from rotating while you turn the switch from behind the dash. If someone were to try and turn the bezel with let's say... vise grips, it would not be pretty. There is a spacer involved too, once you disassemble everything it's location is plain to see. Did I mention the spring? Kidding.

Let's recap.

Push bezel towards switch.
Push switch towards bezel to compress spring, turn switch to release locking lugs.
Everything comes apart.
The hardest part is getting enough of a grip on the switch to turn it.
