Default Emergency Brake Controls

Hey guys, I just pulled the emergency brake controls out from under the dash of my 66 and was wondering if there was an easy way to disassemble the handle/cable from the mount. It has a bit of surface rust and a bunch of gunk built up inside and I would really love to take it appart and clean it out.
Thanks!

You'll have to remove the cable, by driving the roll pin out. Then it slides apart. If this seems a bit much, you should be able to clean it pretty well while still assembled.

That makes sense. I just didn't know how far the cable went up into the tube.
I appreciate your help 22GT!
Back to the shop I go.
