Default gt40p heads on a 289

Hey guys,

I am leaning towards putting these heads on the 289 as a low budget mod while I am rebuilding the block. Some questions I have...

Will my HIPO manifolds work? I have read that they do but want more confirmation. I do not want to put headers on the car.

Do I use the rockers and pushrods that are with the GT40P heads?

I have a 268H comp cam but I am open to something that would work better with my set up. I would like the cam to have some lope through the exhaust but I don't want a rough idle. The 268H I have in it now is rough enough for me, but really isn't too bad. Stock 289 block, weiand alum intake, holly 650, pro comp electronic ignition, 4 speed top loader....soon to be T5, 3.73 gears.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and will the stock springs on the gt40p heads work with the 268h competition cam?
