Default wiring and gauge question

We normally use American Autowire to wire our cars. They (AAW) make a kit for the 69 Mustang but it will not work the ammeter. I also have a concern about how the gauges in general are wired from the factory working with the AAW harness. The owner wants the factory look gauges and Im trying to give him what he wants. What have you guys done about this? I have showed him the Year one cluster and he is O.K. with that but really wants to stick with factory. Does anyone make a factory look gauge with new guts. Id hate to figure all this out only to find out that none of his gauges worked anyway. (car wasnt running when he purchased it) I know there is a company that makes a factory style harness for this car, (cant remember the name) but I still have the issue of do the gauges work in the first place? Any know of someone that rebuilds these?

If you want to see pics of the car, we have some up on our site.

Thanks!

All the gauges are available new. I can't attest to their quality though.

Do you have a junk dash harness that you can cut the instrument cluster connector from? IMO the only way to use the factory gauges is to splice in that connector (or somehow source the connector and pins new, which may be a challenge). The wiring for the gauges is pretty simple if you have a factory wiring diagram.

You can litterally just trace out the gauge wiring on the printed circuit board. I ended up just opening the little connectors inside the harness connector and resoldering instead of splicing.

All of the 69 wiring, and all of the 69 gauges (except the tach), and the 69 gauge circuit board are available new.
