Default Inner Rocker Panels.....

Here is day one of changing my inner rocker panels without fuking up the paint of the car. I know i will nick the car here and there but will try and do my best to not have to respray the whole car.

First step is to clean the floorpans so that i can see where the connections are. I will change both floorpans driver and passenger side. I also will change the torque boxes as well.

heres me busting my *** cleaning that crap.

Here you see a couple holes in the rear seat panels. Will try and clean up as much as I can so that I can fix everything once and for all.

Here is my plan...

1. clean floorpans to see what actually is going on.

2. install sub frame connectors to strengthen car before i cut it up.

3. remove doors and install braces in between both doors.

4. remove front quarter panels to have access to troque boxes.

5. cut out the old floorpans, driver and passenger

6. cut out torque box with inner rocker panels (good luck to me on this one)

7. install new inner rocker panels.

8. install new floor pans

9. put everything back together

10. take care to paint shop to touch up whatever i fuked up.

OK, with one proviso; Do them one side at a time, and do the worst side first.

Cool I'm doing mine too. It's a slow prosses for me. Only get a few hours here and there. I am taking small sections out at a time. I have worked my way to the rear frame rail. This is a tight spot does anyone have tips on this section?

Good luck.

I am going to watch this one. I know what you are up against when you try to do things without undoing others. Good luck you have a fine looking car.

It took me an entire day to drill out all the spot welds to separate the inner and outer rocker on a patch I'm doing. Talk about a b#ttload of spot welds. Good luck...bit of advise, purchase extra bits, and extra beer.
