Default 2BBL to 4BBL Need help!

Hey guys, so I had a original 2bbl carburetor and intake. I am putting on a 289 edlebrock performer 4bbl intake and a holley 600cfm. But I noticed the old carburetor had a PCV valve spacer underneath the actual carburetor. My new intake will not fit that. Does this PCV Valve just connect else where? I'm a little lost and any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

It depends on the exact carb you are using but most have a large vaccum port on the rear side that you can hook it up to

Default pcv valve

you can either place the pcv at the rear centre port on the new carb as I did or you can place it on the intake at the rear there is an opening that you can place a fitting that you can buy from oreillys or whereever that will screw into the intake and run the hose there if you want. Ive done both and either one will work

Is that going into your choke housing?..It may just be a spot where you are supposed to hook up a heat source to help turn off the choke..As long as its not a vacuum leak while its running it shouldn't need to be plugged..

yep. that's for the choke tube. it's just a metal tube that goes down to your manifold so hot air gets into the choke to heat it, so it would switch off at some stage. if you have headers you can just wrap a metal tube around the header. you can use the electric choke.

the tube to it's bottom left is for PCV, so connect PCV there. horrible vacuum leak if you leave it open. if you just plug it and don't use PCV your breather on the other side will smoke and oil

But it's an electric choke.

looks like you can use both, heatriser or electric. whatever you prefer. at least that's what it looks like to me. I wouldn't block it, as otherwise it might interfer with the choke pull off piston. not sure about that, but i'm quite sure this should not be blocked.
