'66 289 with automatic currently

Can I just buy a clutch pedal and have it fit in the brake assebmly that's on there right now? Or will I need to buy the whole assembly? Does it have to be from a 65-66 or will a 67 and above work as well?

Is the 3speed out of a f100 the same as the 3speed that would have come in a mustang?

WIll a T5 out of a 4.6 or 3.8 work in these cars with the right kit?

Thanks for any advise anyone can give me.

I wouldn't mess with a 3 speed,The t5 has to come from a v8 small block nothing off a mod motor will work.

could use a 4 banger t5 too....they are a little weaker but if you have a good shifter and have tires that arent to sticky it will last a while....

The pedal bracket was the same with manual or automatic transmission. Rather than the plain nylon bushings, though, I'd use the Drake roller pedal kit, I have used it successfully several times. Here's a diagram of the linkage:
