'65-'66 complete wiring kits
Has any one tried either of these '65-'66 complete wiring kits?

PAINLESS PERFORMANCE COMPLETE CHASSIS WIRING HARNESS 14 CIRCUIT 1965-1966

I'd like to hear pros and cons of each kit from people that have either one.
Thanks,
Lynn

I used a Ron Francis kit, and all went pretty well. It was my first foray into wiring on a car (other than stereos, etc) but came out perfectly. It's nice that the wires are labeled along their length, cuts way down on confusion. I think it's similar to the painless kit, but cheaper.
You have some problem with using the OEM style wiring? No trimming, adapting, etc. required. You could do the whole job in a few hours, spend the rest of the day cruising.
Installing "modern" accessories such as AC is done exactly the same as back in 66 when such things were added. Works perfectly.

I used a complete reproduction wiring harness on mine. I like that it is the same color as the schematics, pre-terminalized, and the correct length. I did add a small auxilary fused power distribution block for the things that aren't factory to the car.

Here you go. If you'd like, I'll try to scan my schematics for you. I planned the whole thing out on my breakfast room table before starting.

I've heard from many people in the past that Glazier Nolan is the best repro wiring harness... The Painless kit is supposedly anything but painless. I plan to re-wire my 66 soon and am planning on going with the Glazier Nolan for it's ease of installation and originality. Last time I looked for one, it was about $100 cheaper than the painless kit too.
