Default 66 Rims on a 68

Hey all,

I came across a set of 66 rims with redline(wall- whatever) tires. What everyones opinion on putting the 66 rims on a 68?

Looking forward to some opinions.

Thanks

Regular steel rim are no problem they will bolt right on. If you are talking about styled steel wheels I think they will look good on a 68 although not correct for that year.

Ok I see the pic now. I would do it if you can get the wheels cheap.

check on those tyres. they look like bias ply tyres. if they are I wouldn't road drive thme. use proper tires to drive to a car show and change to them when you are at the show ... what I'm saying is : check the tyres, they might not be radials

Thanks for the opinions. Kalli thanks for the heads up. Although I wasn't sure what you were saying until the last sentence.

:-) there's some reading
http://www.michelinag.com/agx/en-US/...ias_radial.jsp

in short: bias ply tyres are horrible to drive. but they are correct (time period) for such a car. great for show. useless for driving
