That will be more trouble than it's worth.

Don't be so stuck on the catalog shopping. Look at the designs that work well. They have similar elements. Tubular manifolds or shorty headers, medium diameter pipe, a cross over of some kind, mandrel bends, free flowing mufflers as far back as possible.

Either order up a collection of bends and pipe to weld up your own system, or take it to a quality custom exhaust shop. You'll spend about the same.

not worth it. you will have to splice and dice so much to make it work.

If you have the skills needed to make it work you could pretty much piece a similar system together for close to the same price but have it done with parts that will require far less chopping

That's about what I would expect topay for a new custom system after I installed headers.

$450 is not a good deal. You can get the factory 65 duals including hangers for less than that.

for a catalog fit, you are correct. A custom system with a x-pipe or H-pipe, properly installed, with some sort of muffler beyond an old school turbo muffler, will run about that.

The system pictured isn't mandrel bent, either. I would personally skip anything with kinked bends.

I wouldn't condemn those bends as "kinked bends", those bends with the multiple ripples are crap, IMO the bends in the picture will do little of nothing to impede flow on a street exhaust.

IMO ----- bends better than these, and X or H pipes are effective and somewhat helpful, albeit VASTLY OVER RATED...
