I have a 73 mach 1 Im currently restoring. Ive come to a point where getting the turnsignals and lights hooked up and working. Im a bit confused about the function of the sports lamps. are they driving lights or turn signals ive seen cars with and with out the parking lights and my car has no provisions for the parking lights so i gusee i need to know how to make my car street legal more or less.

So then the Sports Lamps are my driving/turnsignal lights for the front of the car. I havent bought the sports lamps or the little triangle lights that go between the bumper and the valance. cause i dont want to buy what i dont need ( the triangle shaped lights?) because i think they look stupid but if i need to get them than I will. Basicaly my front trun signals are the last thing i need before i can licinse my car. Though it seems kind of idiotic to licinse it with gas prices like they are it gets somewhere near 8 miles a gallon but im not sure cause i think ive heard that gas evaporates through the gas cap on the pop open caps

 

Which front end do you have and which lights do you have? See pic's below.

If its a 73 its the bottom one, but it doesnt matter if he's asking how to hook them up. My 71 sports werent hooked up, so I found some bulb housings that fit and just wired them to be driving lights, I dont know if they are supposed to be turn signals either.
