Question Inline 6 Aluminum Head?

Has anyone installed an Aluminum head on there inline 6? Also, does anyone know if spending the money on the head would be worth the power gains?

I don't think it is worth it. For what you can spend on the aluminum head is what I spent on a V8 swap for my car.

If you switch to one of the later model 200ci log style heads, you will get best value for the $. They flow better than the early 170ci ported heads.

I have to agree..It is very expensive to make most of the inline sixes perform like even a stock V-8...

I think I had about $600 in mods and my friend with a 68 with a 302 said mine was just a little slower than his and I didn't even have gears.

IIRC... I think i remember reading somthing about having the log intake machined off youre head and adding a classic inlines type intake. You can then run 1-4 barrel carb. I had looked at the aluminum head but 2k range. thats too much imo.
