Default Hosing off enigne?

Can spray my enigne down if i cover the distributer and carb with a garbage bag. when the radiator blew antifreeze got everywhere. Whenever i start it you could smell burning antifreeze. [:'(]

Yeah, just take your car to a wand pressure spray car wash and hose it down. Cover the distributor with plastic wrap. If you wish to take off the air cleaner housing as well, then cover the venturi of the carb with plastic wrap as well. While you are at it, you may as well spray some de-greaser on the engine to get rid of the oil leaks and dirt that has accumulated. If it won't start after you do that, then wipe out the inside of the distributor with a dry cloth.

If it studders a bit after you get her started, don't worry about it. It is just moisture that has accumulated, and will dry out after the engine warms up.
