pictures of the trunk area would help. If it is / had a trap door their will be a safety latch at the bottom, their will be a handle of sorts on the right hand side to push the door up with also.

Um, if you take off the seat back nuts, ALL 67-70 seats will fold. So, answer my trick question- what color are the metal edges of your rear seat panels?

They are chrome edges. I will take pictures this weekend. That would have been more helpful. Of course, I can't figure out how to insert the photo ... so far I could only post a link to a photo.

So mystery solved. I definitely need the trapdoor contraption. Anyone got several hundred dollars to give me? BTW I totaled my costs on the car so far: ~$11,500 including ~$3500 for car (in 1993), $3800 for fixing front end, $1500 for engine work (bored out .030), $550 for transmission rebuild), and &700 for a new wiring harness.

• door $218
• hinge $24.95
• prop $69.95
• latch $34.50
• catch $14.95
The good news is you could drive car without any of this.
