Default Rear Water Crossover

1970 302 Mustang Coupe has a Rear water crossover on the older edelbrock performer intake manifold. Starting a new build on engine and ordered a new Stealth Manifold that upon receiving has no crossover on the rear of manifold! Where does the heater hose that was connected to rear port of Manifold reroute to?

Front of the intake. Most intakes these days have no rear crossover because it's useless and doesn't do anything except let hot coolant stagnate in the back of the manifold coolant ports.

Original 60's manifolds had no crossover, that came later as a connecting point for the heater, etc. As said, basically useless for these old Mustangs.

I plumb the rear crossover to the front near the waterneck on the racecars to get rid of the hotspot.

Thumbs up Thanks for Replies

Thanks to those of you who actually replied about my rear water crossover. Never ran into that before and did not want to guess at it!
