Default Alt Light

I am trying to find out why my Alt light does not come on.
Recently bought car but no Alt light.
Could someone let me know where the YW/BK wire goes to from the bulb on the dash.
I have 12v at the bulb from the BK/GN wire.
The car is a '65 200ci
Thanks,
Nick.

pretty sure it splices into the green/red stripe wire that goes to pin #3 of the alternator voltage regulator.

bad bulb??

If you've got 12v at the bulb then it should be a simple fix

Thanks for replies,
Bulb is good.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing this wire?
My Haynes one does not show the wire or Alt light in question.

not sure how you could have 12v at the bulb and not get it to light up.

You can just do what I did.... Give up, go to ebay and order "12v battery charge warning light, voltage indicator" from sparkbright and have it custom programed any way you want.

Check the bulb seat.

With a continuity meter the YW/BK at the bulb wire has a resistance to GND.
I think there is a dirty connection somewhere, but do not know where the wire ends up.
I will try the GN/RD wire as suggested, but a wiring diagram would help.
