Default spindles

I have a 67 GTA with front disc. I want to upgrade to 13" rotors. I know that the 70 -73 spinles with fit if you drill out the ball joint socket a little.

My question is will 90 model spindles work?

I already have the calipers, and hoses that I want to use. So I dont want to buy a kit to do it.

The 67 Disc brakes are 11 19/64" in diameter--11 1/4" in reallity.

You want to go to 13" rotors-Why? The gain of 1 3/4" is not necessary for street driven car. A Full Road race machine, a different story.

Next, you do not have to do a thing to the ball joints, or spindles to put 70-73 Mustang Disc brakes on ANY 65-73 Mustang, all are same taper.

90 Model Brakes are a waste on the Vintage Mustangs. They were better Factory/Stock.

Hey Dan,
If he uses the 70-73 spindles wont he have to use the 70-73 outer tie rod?

Yes on the Tie Rods, use the 70 Mustang OUTERS, but on the Ball Joints, you don't have to do a thing, drop them on.

thanks guys.
I'm going a different route now. I'm still putting 13" rotors on but with Wilwood 4 piston calipers. I'm going to have to make my own brackets which are not a problem. My company owns a machine shop, comes in real handly at times.

does anyone have the drawings or dimensions of the spindle bolt hole locations so I can make the bracket. I would like to go ahead and make the bracket before I start taking it apart.
