I have rebuilt an 86 302 and considering it has low end torque versus high rpm horsepower should I just use the Performer intake I currently have on the old engine in the 66 coupe?

I have an RPM on my 289 in the 67 convertible and I like it, but it doesn't seem to make sense buying one for an 86 engine.

Don't want to spend money just for the sake of spending money.

I say use what you have. If I was building what you are, and I had the Performer, I would use it.

That is what I was think too. I have it so why not use it unless I was missing something obvious. I am getting ready to yank the old "lawn-boy" out of the coupe and hopefully install my first rebuilt engine. Haven't really been in a rush to see if my work will start and run. LOL

Use it. It's not like it sucks. I'm running a stock iron manifold on my 289HP and it runs just fine.
