1970 doors on a 1969
#3
69-70 doors were not identical, but the differences were minor and are concealed by the door panels. If you use 70 doors on a 69, the only thing you need to do is drill two holes for the warranty tag, since the sticker used in 70 required no holes.

wait a minute... I could be wrong but my understanding is the grande coupe used deluxe door panels while the regular coupe used the plain ones. Those panels are totally different and def won't interchange and would look very different so you might want to check into that before you buy a coupe door to put on a grande. Very simple to see the difference between deluxe panels and standard coupe ones. Coupe ones are flat and have no armrests while the deluxe ones are full length with molded in armrests.
I am not 100 percent sure on that since I haven't done a grande but I've looked at some and that is what I am remembering. Just don't want you to buy the door and be bummed out later.

The door panels don't matter- the doors were the same either way. You just put whatever panel you need on the door. Transfer the ones you have, or get new ones.
The 69-70 deluxe door panels look like this. They were used on all mach1 and Grandé, and any other Mustang ordered with the deluxe interior.
