65 coil wiring

ok thank you i will get on thaqt right now how many ohms does it supposed to read? i have a stock coil i may try and use it thanks again

the wiring coming off the accel coilk has a lead coming off bothy the t and - of the coil going to the distributor that don't sound right to me but with the points not being used anymore and electronic in it's place its hard fore me to determine still don't seem right my wiring diagram from 65 289 shows only one lead from coil going to distributor but again thats with points

my coil is getting power to the pos. with it in run position and it also is putting out a 12 volt feed from the coil wire with key in run position it has a wire coming from both positive and negative going to distributor as well

positive wire from key and the red wire from pertronics goes to positive on coil, black wire from pertronics goes to negative on coil check clearance to the magnet and make sure the black plastic cover (magnetic reciever) is all the way on beneath the rotor then of course the rotor itself put it back together then remove a spark plug stick a screw driver in it and place the screwdriver within 1/8 inch to a ground and check for spark if no spark then maybe bad coil which can also be checked to ground but be careful u dont get bit and only bump the engine this eliminates if it is a spark problem
