Ohhhhhhh

Its the Mr. Gasket housing!

Its the chrome one right?

There have been many reports of those housings leaking because they are built to the wrong tolerances. I remember reading at least 3 different threads about the chrome mr gasket t stat housings and how bad they sucked.

You can try the black RTV it is even recommended for stock t stat housings.

You crack me up dude! Lol

I'll take out the o ring and use the rtv only. How long should I let it sit before I can start it?

How can I prevent the t stat from slipping down during install?

If I remember right its 2 hours to set and 24 hours before you should start.

Should say somewhere on the back of the tube.

Use 3M Weatherstripping to glue T-Stat in place then install. It comes in a red tube and the glue is yellow. Permatex has a product as well, but can not recall the name.
