'65 Master Cylinder swap
should only need it if your going to run disc brakes up front. but you will need to plug the rear line out of you're distribution block and just run a line from the rear hard line to the m/c if you find that you're back brakes lock up before the front you can put a adjustable proportion valve on the rear line easy enough
I did this on my 65 a couple months ago it was also an inline 6. I bought the dual master conversion kit from CJPony parts and on there website you can see the instructions. It's pretty simple and I didn't need to use a proportioning valve. You just have to hook up the lines a little different.
No Proportioning valve needed on Drum Brakes, just Front Disc Brake car.
Proportioning valves have ZERO to do with Front Brakes fluid flow, and are only needed in the front Disc Brake cars to slow down fluid flow to the rear brakes in a panic/sudden stop.
Yes, the 67 Drum Brake master will work fine by using the stock 65 66 Push rod.
The 67 Disc brake Master, WILL NOT WORK on the Disc brake 65 66, unless you want to die with the push rod falling out.
