Smile Hood Scoop Help

I am planning to add a hood scoop on my 65 fastback. Anybody have the measurement on theirs from back of scoop to back of hood. Thanks for the help.

You may hear some differing opinoins on this, but 1-1/2" from the rear of the hood to the rear of the scoop

I probably set mine too far back almost 3" still looks okay. I was concerend about about bolts underhood hit on support ridges and not flat spots

Default hood scoop help

Thanks for the input rc65 and palerider. I have already cut off the bolts and will be flanging inside the scoop. Just didn't want those bigs bolts sticking through. I want it to look perfect outside and inside hood. Metal hood is the way to go. Bought a fiberglass one and returned it right off the truck. Anyone else have measurements or ideas? Anyone own a factory scooped hood?

You would be right. This is an original 65 GT 350, never repainted.
