64 1/2 mustang - turn signal issue
#11
Sorry for the slow reply, I was travelling on business.
So I disconnected the turn signal switch (note: mine has individual bullet connectors - not one large connector) and rang out the car-side wires. I am showing four wires connected to ground:
green-orange, green-white, white-blue, and orange-blue. Each of these wires measured < 10 ohms to ground. All other wires measured no connects.
I am not sure how I could go from a working turn signal to four shorted wires in the middle of a drive.

So does this correction imply that a faulty switch is the only likely cause? I hope not, since I just replaced the switch. This would me my old switch and the new switch are both bad.

So you can with a jumper wire check each one of these wires individually for lighting with a 10 amp fuse (max) inline between your source and the circuit. Your numbers look ok to me so i suspect your new switch is either bad or you've somehow got a miswire in the disconnect.

Problem Fixed
It just dawned on me that I never updated everyone with the issue. After chasing my tail for a while, I basically gave up. Then...
I pulled the fuse panel off to address a separate issue with my radio. I rechecked all my fuses while I was working on it (they were all fine) and low and behold the turn signals started working again. I remounted the fuse panel in triumph and went to bed. The next morning I started up the car and the dang turn signals stopped again. After more debugging, the issue was simply corroded connections in the fuse panel. 10 seconds with a wire brush and the problem was solved. Feel a bit foolish, but at least I have a two extra turn signal switches and a spare set of bulbs now.
Thanks,
Nut
