Default Im starting a new project with parts I have

Left over from my mustang. It is a 62 Econoline 5 window pick up. I am going to install my old 289. I happened to pick up a brand new hughs c4 that is still wrapped in plastic with the reciept. It happend by chance and I got it for $400 bucks.
I need to get a torque convertor and a flexplate. I know i need a 28oz. imbalance but does it matter weather it is a 157 tooth or 164 tooth.

Also I need a distributor for my 289. SHould i just pick up a petronix? I have a new 600cfm holly 4160 laying around with vac. secondaries so i figure the petronix with vac. advance should drive well.

I know it is not a mustang but the power plant is! I will be posting on ford truck enthusiast forum as well. Im also looking for ideas for a zoomie style exhaust.

Fly/flex teeth is determined by the bellhousing size.

If you're not looking to spend a bunch of money the Pertronix should be fine.
