Default 1969 power steering problem

Hi im new here but i have a 69 two door coupe and i have had alot of problems with my power steering control valve i have fixed all of the leaks that have occurred in the system replaced half the lines and rebuilt the original control valve I am to the point where I have no pull at all in the steering (it was pulling severely to the right) i adjusted the lock nut behind the cover with two bolts at the end of the control valve it is nearly all the way lose and has blown two o rings in the small hole in the lower left corner i replaced it with a bigger o ring but i still have no power steering to the left we bled the system wile the front tires were off the ground and the steering seemed great untill the wheels were on the ground again i am out of ideas
(also the control valve has only about 20-25 threads showing where it attaches) and I also need a new power steering pump sorry for such a long post

There should be no O-rings in the control valve.

If the pump is shot, you won't get any satisfaction from the steering gear.

You have 20-25 threads showing where the control valve screws on the centerlink/????

If this is the case, the control is not installed correctly. on average there will be 3 or so threads showing.

You cannot have installed the roll pin if the control is that far off center--remember to roll pin it, then clamp it.

The O ring thing. To change the O rings in the reaction valve plugs, you have to remove the plug, put on new O rings, then push back in. They do not go on the outside under plate.

If you have the nut under the cap more than one turn out from where it stopped, it is wrong, will not work.

I've got a manual conversion kit if/when you are ready...
