I did a Vette a while back. Warm temp helps. Patience too. Not sure what Mustangs have, but the Vette had tons of hog rings. I cheaped out and took the pliers that came with the kit, mistake, they were so crappy. When you get ready to start tightening things up, it's good to have some dead weight or a wife (same difference) to help mash the foam down.

And do yourself a favor and hit all the hardware with some flat black. If you're like me, looking at those crummy looking seat rails, etc. will bother you.

We've done two sets of first gen Mustang seats. I agree with SSRFuzzy. A good set of Hog ring pliers and getting the vinyl warm are musts. We did ours in the summer in Houston so keeping the vinyl warm wasn't a problem. Two sets of hands is also good. My husband stretched and held the vinyl and fastened it. If your wife/gf or other female is helping you, make sure she has a good grip. I have seriously sore hands after doing ours and my grip was pretty strong.

It's a little late for that 411. I've already installed the TMI so time will tell.

What's the beef with the TMI?
