Hello all. I'm looking at replacing the leaf springs on my 66 that are the originals from 66, verified with the original owner, that are flat out worn out. I've been looking at 4 leaf and 5 leaf springs trying to decide which would be best for mixed use driving. I want a nice ride that's good for a daily driver, not mushy but not overly stiff. I was eyeballing the scott drake 5 leaf at summit.

I have 5 leaf reverse eye grab-a-track leaf springs in the back. Ride is really stiff. Not enough to knock your feelings out, but stiff.

 

4 is nice and smooth...4.5 are available.

I have grab a track and I'm happy with them. I primarily just cruise though. I really like the Maier racing products, but they're pricey as hell (and I've never ridden in a mustang with them).

 

Mustangs plus grab a trak also.

 

i have the 4.5 mid eye springs. i like them a lot I am running them with bilstien shocks. i could not imagine the 5 leaf springs. i would think they would be too stiff. mine are as stiff as i think i could handle.
