Man, I learn something every day. There were so many add-ons, dealer options and state to state requirements that I can't keep up anymore. I can no longer make a blanket statement about 65's because of all of this crap. Hell, for all I know there may have been a corporate blue engine in very late 65. [:'(] OK, I will crawl back in my cave now.

Hi Soaring,
If you have the 4V K code you would have the chrome goodies. Chrome air filter, valve covers, dip stick, radiator cap and master cylinder cap. The bottom of the air filter is gold.

Sorry, but that is not correct. Glen was spot-on with his initial description. Mustangood is correct: the "chrome goodies" were only on the high-performance K-code engines.

Thanks Danny....I thought I was going nuts there for awhile. That chrome thing had me scratching my head for awhile. Besides the K codes, the Sprints had a chrome cleaner. At least I think they did. [sm=bangbang.gif]I ain't sure about a dang thing anymore..[sm=helpout.gif]

Yes, the "Sprint 200" cars did indeed have a chrome air cleaner. But of course, those were '66 models.
