Default 67 mustang whining noise in c4 transmission

I have a c4 in my 67 mustang. When I let off the gas there is a whining sound. When Iím back on accelerator the noise disappears. Not sure if noise coming from tran or rear end since both were rebuilt. Any suggestions?

That's a rear end whine in coast. Typically comes from gear mesh in coast not being ideal... It likley won't cause issues other than noise but depending on how bad it is it may actually be an issue.

Talk to the mechanic who did the work if applicable. If not you can start watching rear end rebuild videos on youtube for your specific rearend which i do not know.
