Rear spring hangers

Default Rear spring hangers

I acquired a 69 coupe someone else's dream . Looks like they wanted a drag car the hole for the fuel tank has a heavy gauge steel plate over it with squared tube steel welded across connecting to the rear frame. They welded a box below the original spring hanger location on the rear frame with a bushing that would accept a spring hanger. So about three inches below the original hole through the frame for the stock hanger locate .Seams like a good job the fram
e is all beefed up as well. I can not find any info regarding this mod . Help me understand this will work .I will take pics tomorrow thanks

Hanger box with a bushing


Looking in the trunk it is full weld thick plate steel, the frame rails seem bang on, strong as f
