found a 78' mercury monarch with 5 lug discs up front. 50$ for the pair. it will be fun removing those in the snow monday morning.

I got spindles from a 70 cougar. I would recommend getting the brake lines because of how the brake hose attaches to the calipar might be hard to find. calipars are good to have as a core.
If you have not already done a google search on the disc brake converstion you should find some articles on it and they recommend what to get while at the junk yard.
good luck

il get the calipers if they are cheaper than the auto zone core charge. thanks for the info on the brake lines, i will print out the article on the conversion for when i go to get them.
Good day, good find , don`t know if you realize you need tie rod ends/ outer ball joint to match off the car to. It is different tie rod then what on your 67. Of course all your wheel bearings will be 78 application.
yup, i had read some of the articles on here a few times and i think ive got a good grasp on what i need to do. ill be bringing the spindles and inner tie rods with me to the parts store when i go to get the other parts i need. this way everything should bolt right in, hopefully.
thanks for the help,
carl
