i used to have a 89 gt 5.0, and it was a very good handeling and performing car, but the fact that the one race against a camaro ended in the loss of the t-5 that was once in there. However i agree that the 65-66 fastback is the way to go in any occasion. The problem with fox body's are there everywhere!!!! I have my 67 for car shows, and the occasional cruise during the nice Colorado summer days, while the 93 i got now, is just for tearing up effects lol..... go with the fastback man

by the way im taking new pics of the cars this week if it gets nicer so...... guys youll finally get to see my pony!!!!!!!

Definitely the 65-66 Fastback. It is now, and will in the future always be worth more not only for monetary reasons, but for the sheer pride of owning a classic. Foxes are a dime a dozen.

Yeah it looks like I am leaning towards a 66. The only thing is they are SOOOOoo expensive!! Man 8500 bucks for an OK A code Fastback Frame and still needs around $1500.00 in parst to get it up and driving every day...

Dude, You come on a classic mustang forum, and ask whether we would have a newer mustang to an older one? HAHAHAHAHA. I also pick a 65/66.

get the fox and in 20 years it will be worth what the 65/66 is worth now, and that 65/66 will be worth even more, so get the classic.

heck, even a 65/66 coupe is better than the fox... nothing against the fox, but classic all the way here!

Your log-in says it all, you want a '65 - '66 fastback. Why are you asking?

think of it as a investment. the early mustangs (641/2-73) are getting harder and harder to find. the value is going up and up. in my area classic mustangs have doubled in price in the last 5 years.

so what i am saying is get the 66 while you can. in 10 years when a 66 that needs restoring is 25k you will be kicking your self and crying that i could of had one back in 2006 but stupid me bought a fox instead.
